GUANGDONG, China, Aug. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Fujitsu today announced that the Fujitsu South China Data Centre has been accredited with the international standards ISO9001 and ISO27001, marking a new phase in the development of the data centre. With these two certifications, Fujitsu further enhances its technology leadership in the data centre arena, standardizing the data centre management process and providing customers with a smooth, stable and secure service.
The ISO9001 relates to requirements for quality management systems, while the ISO27001 is an information security management system (ISMS) standard. The latter is designed to help organizations ensure that they meet stringent risk management criteria. Data centres comprise a complex set of physical and environmental security measures including secure communications and operation management, access control, development and maintenance of information systems, security incident management and relevant regulations.

The first Tier 3+ data centre in South China
Opened on April 11, 2012, The Fujitsu South China Data Centre was Fujitsu‘s first data centre in China and the company’s 100th data centre to be established across the globe. It is South China‘s first Tier 3+ data centre, indicating that the facility scored highly when evaluated on redundancy of facilities, floor loading, power supply and cooling equipment, as well as downtime-free period and cost.
The Fujitsu South China Data Centre has a gross land area of 6666.7 square meters and is earthquake resistant. The data centre has one subterranean floor and four above-ground levels, providing over 12,000 square meters of floor area which can house 1,000 racks in full operation. At present, over 250 racks are in use for clients from the government, banking, finance, and insurance industries.
Connection to multiple network operators and a dual power supply guarantees high security and stability. Sustainability is ensured by green measures such as the use of efficient generators, intelligent temperature control and geothermal techniques.
