Aoyama made his feature debut with Helpless (1996). EUREKA (2000) won FIPRESCI Prize and Ecumenical Jury Prize at Cannes. Since then, his films have screened at international film festivals including Berlin and Venice. Tokyo Park won the Golden Leopard Special Jury Prize at Locarno; his latest film, Backwater won Youth Jury Award and Boccalino Award Best Director at the festival.

Jacob Wong

Curator, Hong Kong International Film Festival

Jacob Wong is Curator of the Hong Kong International Film Festival, and is Director of the Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum which had supported the projects of Brillante Mendoza, Park Chan-wook, Tsai Ming Liang and Koreeda Hirokazu. He is also Delegate for Asia for the Berlin International Film Festival.

Koichi Nojima

Film journalist

Japan Movie Critics Award selection member. Graduated from Sophia University, Department of Journalism in 1964. Joined the Mainichi Newspaper in the same year. After working at Okayama and Kyoto branches, he was an editorial board member of the arts and cultural news department in the Tokyo headquarters. Retired in 2001.

Paolo Bertolin

Paolo Bertolin is a festival programmer. He currently works as program advisor for the Doha Film Institute and as correspondent for Venice IFF. He also worked for Cannes Critics’ Week, Nyon Visions du Réel, Udine Far East FF, and others.

Christian Jeune

Deputy General Delegate / Cannes Film Festival

Christian Jeune, Deputy general delegate, has been with the festival for more than 20 years and is in charge of Official selection for the Cannes Film Festival. He has served on many juries, Cinemanila, Pusan, Dubai, Bangkok, Mumbai and Hong Kong.
Takahisa Zeze

Film Director

《Profile》
Born in 1960. He produced Gang yo Muko wa Harete Iruka whilst studying at Kyoto University, and made his commercial debut with Kagai Jugyo: Boko (1989). Highly acclaimed Heaven’s Story (2010) both in Japan and overseas won the FIPRESCI Prize and NETPAC Prize at Berlin International Film Festival as well as Minister of Education Award for Fine Arts. His recent works include When You Love and When You are Loved (2010) and Life Back Then (2011).
